Love is found in mounds of sugary sweets
Joy radiates through the celebration

Christmas is here in the nativity
For those that know me personally, you know I looooveee Christmas. Every year on Halloween, I stay up just to play Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You exactly at midnight. Ever since I was a kid, from the lights to the music, the sweets to the smells, and everything in between, Christmas has always been there for me.
My most favorite part of the season - my favorite day of the year, really - is the annual Campbell Family Christmas Party. After the many of us had our fill of my aunt's giant sugar cookies (or the brownie cookies, which are my favorite), we descend to the basement and gather around the pool table for a fun - and well, a very loud and competitive - game of White Elephant. Finally, when the last gift has been opened and scraps of wrappings litter the floor, the most fun part of all begins: the wrapping paper fight! I can’t think of a single moment throughout the year when I feel so connected and loved by my family. Even now, I get emotional replaying the memories.
Of course, none of it would be possible without our Lord, the foundation of it all.
Included are the candles of Advent that represent the hope, love, joy, and peace of the season, and stand to remind us of what truly matters. As children, when we are told Santa isn't real, that is often the start to the end of our belief - but it doesn't have to be.
